Lara is a Legal Assistant at Demstone Chambers. She assists with client work, legal research and day to day administration.
Lara has recently completed an LLM specialising in Public International Law at The London School of Economics and Political Science. She has particular interest in International Refugee Law, International Humanitarian Law and International Criminal Law.
She is undertaking the BPC at The Inns of Court College of Advocacy commencing in September 2022 and hopes to begin work as a barrister after completion.
She has previously worked as a Peace Advocacy Fellow for The Balfour Project on a year long campaign regarding forced displacement in Occupied Palestine and the legal rights of the Palestinians and as a Research Assistant with Peace Brigade International, where she collaborated with Simmons and Simmons, Action4Justice and Lawyers Against Poverty to help establish the Legal Empowerment Project.
Qualifications: LLB (Law), First Class Honors, LLM (Public International Law).
Awards: The Middle Temple Queen Mother Scholarship, The Denise Coates Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship, The Middle Temple Access to the Bar Award and The London School of Economics Masters Award.
